NewsMay 9, 2005 Taction Hires Business-to-Business Sales Manager
WALDOBORO, Maine, May 9, 2005 - As part of an aggressive expansion of its business-to-business services, Taction® has filled the new position of B2B sales manager. Darrell Goldrup has plans to bring "vision and fun to sales" at Taction, a leading provider of contact center services for some of the world's most trusted brands, including Atkins Nutritionals, The Boyds Collection, Samsonite, MaineWindjammers, DialMaine, and the state's Office of Tourism. Goldrup is charged with generating excitement and enthusiasm in the agents who serve on the company's telesales teams. The teams provide a suite of services that include telesales, lead qualification, and dealer support and service. Goldrup will coach the telesales agents, teach them new sales skills, and motivate them to achieve superlative results. "I want them to be so good, people are raving about their interactions with us," Goldrup said of Taction's telesales agents. "And I want our clients' merchants to know we have a vested interest in their success - so much so that they don't want any other product." A dedicated team provides telesales for The Boyds Collection and serves the Boyds network of dealers. Agents also assist Boyds' field sales representatives by helping with paperwork and sending correspondence. This allows the field sales representatives to spend more time closing deals and less time on unprofitable administrative tasks. Taction's B2B clients will benefit from having a dedicated B2B sales manager, said chairman and CEO Steve White. "Darrell's motivational skills and his long-term strategies for giving our clients' dealers one fantastic experience after another are going to serve us well," White said. Goldrup worked at Taction as an account manager until 1999, when he began working at MBNA America Bank in Rockland. His management style there helped his teams meet 100 percent of their overall goals consistently. He also increased one team's ranking from 110 out of 113 teams to the number seven spot within three months. Goldrup returned to Taction in April. He lives in Waldoboro with his wife and five children. |
