Executive TeamJim TroutmanChief Information OfficerJim joined the team at Taction in August 2007, bringing a unique perspective to the company. He has worked closely with us since 1999 as an outside consultant. He has also been a client, selecting Taction to provide superior customer service for two separate companies that he founded (DialMaine in 2002, and AcadiaNet in 2003). Now working as CIO at Taction, he is focused on using a combination of technology and process improvement to streamline our client's businesses. He believes that technology should not be promoted for its own sake, but used in support of achieving strategic goals. Jim is passionate about improving the client and consumer experience in all areas. His 16-year career in Information Technology and business started at the University of Maine and led to extensive work with K-12 schools throughout New England, including several new building construction and renovation projects. As an entrepreneur, Jim has been a business partner in several start-up ventures in the Internet and e-commerce space. Throughout his career he has played a diverse set of roles in senior management, engineering, operations, and sales and marketing including: Director of Technology, manager and technical team leader (e-commerce website developers, network engineers, technical support staff), sales engineer, call center manager, systems administrator, marketing manager, and CEO. Prior to joining Taction, Jim spent a year at Johnny's Selected Seeds where he oversaw all Internet marketing and e-commerce efforts, which accounts for one third of the company's annual revenue.
